Be careful with the word "today" when you're giving a compliment, guys. Obviously I like to joke but I know girls who are very sensitive when it comes to flattery.

Also, I hate people who talk smack, who gives empty promises, who makes me feel obliged to go out with them when they have a vacation (and I don't have one) and people who don't have their shit together. Excuse my words today. I'm not feeling well and was very pissed off when I found out that said guy tried to find information about me from a friend whom I don't really like or trust. This tells me that he has poor judgment and the worst thing was probably how he tried to impress me with big money talk. Taking me out in a Ferrari? sure. Show me the Ferrari first then I'll believe you. Besides, it's only your uncle's, not yours, so it doesn't count. Dress the part before you get into such talks. I'm not interested. I don't care if you drive a c class. Almost every guy and friend I have drives cool stuff. It's nothing new and it's not a factor of attraction. 

We can't hold a conversation without me wanting to just shut up and look elsewhere. Doesn't it tell you something? We are not right for each other.

Howdy!


Weekend is here again and we'll be through with the first week of March! Time really, really flies. Don't you still remember celebrating 2009 New Year as if it was just a few days ago? Oh my.

I finally watched Slumdog Millionaire last week and yes, it was pretty good. :) But certainly not Oscar-worthy to me. I've definitely watched better Indian movies. In fact, my less-than-awestruck reaction would probably be due to the fact that I watched too many Indian movies while growing up. No one would ever ever guess. They wouldn't believe me, especially the Indians...until I named the Amitabh and Shah Rukh Khan's films I've watched. :D fun times. Slumdog is a fine movie though, especially since I really like Dev Patel in Skins. (hello Anwar!)

was what my dad said to me over the phone.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
He doesn't want me to work hard.
All he wants to know is that I have a work so I can stay here a few months longer before I return and help him out.
If my job sucks, I should quit because he can pay me more to do less.
but aren't young people supposed to take challenges and face different hardships to grow?
I want to try my hands at different things and I don't mind working hard to attain certain goals
but now that he stressed his objection at me working hard, I feel lost and undecided.
I love him and I know he meant well
so what he told me really threw me off the course I'm taking right now.

Does anyone know what movie this still is from?

I like the title of the movie but I don't recommend watching it because it is subpar (and pretty disturbing plot), save for select scenes and the actor who plays the younger Jeremiah. His name is Jimmy Bennett and he is an awesome child actor.
